Social Accountability Implementation from a Rural and Northern Perspective

Title: Social Accountability Implementation from a Rural and Northern Perspective The health demands and priorities of a community together with the dedication of medical schools are synchronized by the implementation of social accountability. Although strategies for the actualization of social accountability with geographical initiatives, acting networks or parties, and systematic categorizations are well established, a rural and northern perspective should also be taken into consideration. At the same time, the current literature landscape regarding a patient-physician level framework of social accountability implementation is rapidly changing. This scoping review maps the recent scholarly work related to rural medicine, pinpointing the unique challenges and facilitators of social accountability implementation in rural and northern communities.
